The Untamed Actor Directory connects Midlands-based performers with independent filmmakers, theatre-makers, producers and casting teams, with a focus on professional, emerging and regionally rooted work.
Built specifically for the independent and professional creative sector, the Directory offers an alternative to national casting platforms by centring regional talent, direct connection and inclusive access.

The Directory has been created to help independent filmmakers, theatre-makers, producers, casting directors and creative organisations discover talented performers working across the Midlands quickly, affordably and in one place.
While national casting platforms play an important role, there has long been a need for a trusted, region-focused directory that champions Midlands talent and supports the independent creative sector.
The Directory fills that gap by making it easier to discover regional performers, build creative connections and strengthen the Midlands creative industry.
Profiles can be searched by keyword or filtered using criteria including Midlands accents, playing age, gender, location, skills, experience and availability. Each profile showcases professional headshots, credits and experience, with conact made either through an actor’s agent or securely via their profile.
Creative teams using the Directory to cast their projects are expected to approach performers respectfully and in line with the preferences stated on individual profiles, including the type and level of work they are open to (such as paid, unpaid, student or passion projects). The Directory is a facilitating platform only. Untamed does not act as an agent, casting director, employer or representative for any user. The Directory is a talent discovery platform and does not publish casting calls or job listings.
Profile Approval
All profiles are reviewed before publication. To be approved, profiles must include sufficient information to be useful to casting teams and meet the Directory’s eligibility requirements. We may request further information before approving a profile.
Membership
Membership costs just £10 per year as an introductory launch offer and helps cover the administration, maintenance and ongoing development of the Directory. Members receive a professional profile within a regional platform that is actively promoted to casting professionals, producers and creative teams seeking talent across the Midlands.
Age Requirement
The Directory is open to performers aged 18 and over only.
Eligibility & Regional Requirement
By registering and purchasing a membership, users confirm that the information they provide – including their location or regional base – is accurate and truthful.
The Directory is intended for working and emerging professional actors. Applicants must demonstrate either training or at least one acting credit. This helps maintain the quality and usefulness of the Directory for creative teams.
Applicants must live in, or have a reliable base in the Midlands.
If we become aware that a user does not meet this requirement, we reserve the right to suspend or remove their profile and/or terminate their membership without obligation to issue a refund. Please see our full Terms & Conditions for further details.
